This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently. As a key member of our service team, you'll be responsible for performing routine lubrication, fluid changes, and basic maintenance tasks that keep our fleet running at peak performance. Responsibilities Perform routine lubrication and oil changes on heavy equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operation. Conduct fluid checks and top-offs, including hydraulic fluids, engine oils, coolants, and other essential lubricants. Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, tire inspections, and tire service including mounting and balancing. Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete maintenance procedures accurately. Conduct inspections to identify mechanical issues or potential failures before they become major problems. Support more experienced technicians with diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting when needed. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities performed on equipment for compliance and tracking purposes. Qualifications Diesel Technician Certification Preferred. Dealership or automotive repair experience is highly preferred, especially in heavy equipment or fleet maintenance environments. Proven mechanic experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance skills. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and other automotive service equipment. Experience performing oil changes, alignment checks, tire service, and general vehicle maintenance tasks. Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when necessary. Ability to lift heavy equipment parts or components safely during maintenance procedures. Prior service technician experience in a dealership or similar setting is advantageous. Basic understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems is essential for success in this role.
