Automotive Alignment Technician

Perform wheel alignments using state-of-the-art alignment equipment, ensuring precise specifications are met for each vehicle. Diagnose suspension issues, including shocks, struts, and steering components, to determine necessary repairs or replacements. Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections focusing on tire service, brake systems, and steering mechanisms to identify potential issues. Utilize schematics and automotive electrical systems knowledge to troubleshoot complex problems effectively. Assist with related automotive repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, and powertrain maintenance. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete repairs according to manufacturer standards. Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings clearly with team members and customers to ensure transparency and satisfaction. Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a focus on alignment services. Strong mechanical knowledge of suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, and wheel alignment procedures. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues. Experience working with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is a plus. Ability to read technical manuals and automotive electrical systems diagrams accurately. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools safely. Knowledge of GM vehicles or diesel engine repair is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly. Valid certification in automotive repair or technician training preferred; ongoing training encouraged for skill development.
