Job Description

Job Summary The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical systems, with expertise in various repair and maintenance tasks. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. The mechanic completes inspection, maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, forklifts, pickups, and other heavy-duty vehicles. Technicians will keep track of important system components such as engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical cooling systems and steering systems. After 1 year of employment, mechanics will receive a yearly $500 tool allowance and $200 boot and safety equiptment allowance. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment, including diesel engines and HVAC systems. Diagnose mechanical problems using schematics and technical manuals to identify solutions effectively. Conduct equipment repairs as necessary to ensure proper functionality. Assemble and disassemble machinery components as needed for repair or replacement. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols. Be on call 24/7 to assist customers with break downs, or to check a truck in/out. Qualifications Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance. Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, suspension systems, vacuum/pressure trucks HVAC systems, electrical systems, fabricated welding, hydraulics/pneumatics, PMs, troubleshooting and mechanical schematics. Own a set of tools. CDL is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues. Time management Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Follow the company's safety policies and procedures. A valid driver's license and safe driving record. Other duties as assigned.
