Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and tire rotations to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other electronic safety features with precision. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs such as welding, auto body work, and component replacements. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to execute repairs efficiently on GM vehicles and other makes. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while providing excellent customer service throughout the process. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and powertrain components. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Hands-on experience with AC service, wheel alignment, suspension work, brake repair, and tire service. Ability to operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and automotive maintenance equipment confidently. Knowledge of ADAS calibration procedures and air brake systems is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ASE certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
