Job Overview Job Overview Huntsville Transmissions & More is a family-owned automotive repair shop looking for an experienced Automotive Diagnostic & Transmission R&R Technician to join our team. This position involves diagnosing vehicle concerns, removing and reinstalling transmissions, and performing a variety of automotive repairs and maintenance services. Duties Diagnose transmission, engine, drivability, and electrical concerns. Remove and reinstall automatic and manual transmissions. Perform general automotive repairs and maintenance. Repair or replace suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, hubs, CV axles, cooling system components, and other related mechanical parts. Perform transmission services, fluid exchanges, and preventative maintenance. Use diagnostic scan tools and service information to accurately identify vehicle concerns. Test drive vehicles before and after repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Communicate repair findings with the shop owner or office staff. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Experience removing and reinstalling transmissions preferred. Ability to perform a wide range of automotive repairs and maintenance. Proficient in using diagnostic scan tools and automotive service information. Must have your own tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of the job. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Strong work ethic with attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. ASE certifications are a plus but are not required. Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers and customers when needed.
