This energetic position combines hands-on automotive work with critical safety inspections, offering an exciting opportunity to develop your mechanical skills while contributing to vehicle safety and compliance. You will perform routine vehicle lubrication, maintenance tasks, and thorough state inspections, helping customers keep their vehicles running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities Conduct vehicle oil changes, lubrication, and basic maintenance using hand tools and power tools efficiently. Perform comprehensive state inspections to ensure vehicles meet all safety and emissions standards. Utilize mechanical knowledge to identify issues during inspections and communicate findings clearly. Use auto body repair techniques when necessary to address minor cosmetic or structural repairs. Handle heavy lifting of vehicle parts and equipment safely while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Assist with auto restoration projects by applying automotive repair skills and mechanical expertise. Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities in accordance with state regulations. Requirements Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair or maintenance. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and auto service equipment. Experience in vehicle maintenance, auto body repair, or mechanic work preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily tasks. Strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to diagnose issues accurately. Prior auto restoration or mechanic experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
