Fleet Maintenance Technician / Helper G & S Mechanical LLC Hutto, TX Job Details Full-time $20 - $40 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Qualifications ASE Certification Metal fabrication Fleet management Driver's License Hand tools Full Job Description Join the G&S; Mechanical Team Maintain and repair our growing fleet of service vans, pickup trucks, and commercial vehicles. Your primary mission is to keep our service technicians and installers on the road by providing quality repairs, preventative maintenance, and minimizing vehicle downtime. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance to maximize fleet uptime Keep service technicians and installers on the road by minimizing vehicle downtime Diagnose and repair gas & diesel engines Repair brakes, suspension, steering, electrical & A/C systems Maintain fleet service records Install ladder racks, shelving, GPS, cameras, trailer brake controllers, warning lights & contractor accessories Work on trailers and small equipment as needed Coordinate outside repairs when necessary Respond to occasional roadside breakdowns Complete repairs correctly the first time Qualifications 5+ years fleet/automotive experience preferred Strong diagnostic skills Experience with Ford, Chevrolet, GMC & Ram trucks Comfortable using scan tools, computers & diagnostic software Fleet management software experience is a plus Welding/fabrication is a plus ASE Certifications are a plus Valid Texas Driver License with clean record Must provide personal hand tools (company supplies specialty tools) Professional appearance and positive attitude We're Looking For A dependable, organized professional who takes ownership, keeps our fleet reliable, and helps keep our service technicians and installers on the road serving customers every day.
