OF KILLEEN POSITION DESCRIPTION
Lube Technician Performs maintenance and repair work on vehicles and mechanical equipment serviced by the Fleet Services Division. The employee will have the responsibility of: Completing and evaluating preventive maintenance for all light duty vehicles, backhoes, refuse, trucks, excavators, loaders, dump trucks and other City owned rolling stock Draining motor oil, changing oil filters, greasing chassis fittings, inspecting brakes and tops off fluids, coolant filters/flushes Performing charging systems test and replacing batteries as needed Operating a variety of hand, electric, and air-driven tools Inspecting, servicing, and maintaining engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other components to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment Mounting, balancing, and installing tires and wheels.
