Service Technician

m. Looking for a steady technician role with growth, structure, and no rotating shifts? We are hiring a Level 1-3 Service Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on buses and related systems while meeting dealer and factory standards. If youre detailoriented, safetyfocused, and take pride in quality workmanshipthis role is for you. What Youll Do Perform vehicle repair and maintenance efficiently and to highquality standards Diagnose vehicle conditions and identify safety or mechanical concerns
Receive and complete work orders accurately and on time
Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain required materials
Document repairs clearly using the 3C Method (Concern, Cause, Correction)
Track labor time, parts, and materials in NetSuite
Maintain, inventory, and secure companyissued tools and supplies
Perform road service calls when qualified using a company service truck
Communicate delays or issues proactively with Service Management
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Assist with:
New bus deliveries
Facility maintenance
Monthly safety inspections
Maintain required certifications and comply with all safety policies Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Completion of AZ Bus PDI Technician Certification Program
EPA 609 Certification
Wheelchair lift inspection & maintenance training (Braun & Ricon)
1-5 years of A/C training and installation experience with at least one of the following:
MCC / Carrier
Valeo
TransAir
ACT
Minimum1 year of automotive repair experience Preferred Qualifications (Not Required, but a Plus) Trade or Technical School Certificate/Diploma 3+ years of heavyduty automotive or fleet mechanic experience
2+ years of electrical system diagnostics and repair
ASE School Bus Certifications, including:
S1
- Body Systems & Special Equipment
S2 - Diesel Engine
S3 - Drive Train
S4 - Brakes
S5 - Suspension & Steering
S6 - Electrical/Electronic Systems
S7 - Air Conditioning Systems & Controls Schedule & Work Environment Fulltime, weekday schedule Occasional overtime or weekend work as needed
Some local travel for road service calls
Active shop environment with mechanical equipment, noise, vibration, and varying weather conditions
