Job Description

Automotive Technician / Mechanic Clay Cooley Auto Group is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. Pay for this position is flag hour with bonus program! To be considered for the role you must have 3 years of Automotive Technician experience, Audi/Volkswagen experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience diagnosing and resolving vehicle issues efficiently. Automotive Technician /
Mechanic Qualifications:
Previous automotive dealership experience is
REQUIRED.
Minimum 3 years of Automotive Repair experience Volkswagen/Audi Experience is preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems. Proficiency in vehicle maintenance practices, including alignment and automotive repair techniques. Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is a plus. Experience with auto estimating processes for repair costs. Ability to work efficiently with both hand tools and power tools. Solid understanding of automotive electrical systems and their components. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction. Previous service technician experience is required, showcasing a commitment to quality workmanship. Automotive Technician /
Mechanic Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including GM vehicles and diesel engines. Diagnose automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify necessary repairs or maintenance needs. Repair and replace automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrains, and other mechanical components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to assist in repairs and diagnostics. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and recommended services. Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Pay:
$15.00 - $45.00 per hour
