Job Description

National Indoor RV Centers is seeking a skilled Chassis Technician to join our Automotive team in San Diego, CA. In this on-site role, you'll diagnose and repair RV chassis systems, including suspension, steering, brakes, and related components, ensuring safe, reliable performance for our guests. You'll perform inspections, use diagnostic tools, and follow OEM specs while collaborating closely with service advisors. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain RV chassis systems, including suspension, steering, and braking components Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on motorhome chassis and related systems Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and document findings Collaborate with service advisors to explain needed repairs and provide accurate repair time estimates Follow safety protocols, shop procedures, and manufacturer specifications on all work Road test vehicles as needed to verify repairs and ensure roadworthiness Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly account for parts and labor in work orders Support a culture of customer focus, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the shop Required Skills Chassis diagnostics Suspension repair Brake systems service Steering and alignment Hydraulic systems Air brake systems Electrical troubleshooting (12 V/24 V) Use of diagnostic scan tools Welding and fabrication (basic) Service documentation and work orders
