Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in equipment repair, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. This role involves working with heavy equipment, performing maintenance and repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. If you have a passion for mechanics and enjoy problem-solving in a hands-on environment, we would love to hear from you. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types boat engines. Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques. Align and transmit components to ensure optimal performance. Conduct testing as needed. Utilize dealership resources for parts procurement and technical support. Solder electrical connections as needed for repairs. Operate forklifts safely while moving equipment or materials. Provide tire service including installation, rotation, and repair. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on equipment. Qualifications Proven experience in mechanical repair, particularly with boat engines. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Familiarity with air brake systems and their maintenance requirements. Experience in a dealership environment is preferred but not required. Ability to solder electrical components effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
