Mechanic Arnold Oil Company Fuels - 2.6 Midland, TX Job Details Full-time $35 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Engineering equipment malfunctions diagnostics High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Overview The Mechanic I position reports directly to the Fleet Director, and is responsible for ensuring all company equipment and machinery is operating correctly and is functioning in a safe capacity, as per Company guidelines and DOT compliance. The primary job functions include, but are not limited to: Perform all preventative maintenance procedures so equipment functions properly Perform pre trip and post trip adjustments on vehicles as per driver DVIR or work order Able to perform the following procedures on company equipment: Brake adjustments and replacements Clutch work Pump replacements Electrical work All major and minor repairs on gas or diesel engines Schedule tire repair and replacement Oil changes and regular maintenance Able to order needed parts and pick them up Ability to troubleshoot faulty equipment Perform service calls when needed May travel to various Company locations to perform regular maintenance and repairs Other tasks as assigned by management The primary skill requirements include, but are not limited to: Attitude that supports the Company's goals and values Must maintain regular and prompt attendance Must have ability to troubleshoot problems than may arise with equipment and vehicles Ability to work in a fast paced environment Sound decision making skills Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow both written and oral directions Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening Ability to pass background check Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs. Experience Requirements One (1) year prior experience as a Mechanic Education Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) #AOF123
