This energetic role offers the opportunity to work independently while delivering top-tier maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including trucks, cars, and heavy equipment. Your mechanical expertise will ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and performing at their best, all while providing exceptional customer service in a flexible, part-time capacity. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair and calibrate ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other automotive electrical systems for modern vehicles. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently on-site at customer locations. Interpret technical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic problems effectively. Maintain detailed records of services performed and communicate repair recommendations clearly to customers. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a focus on dealership or heavy equipment mechanics preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, diesel engine repair, and powertrain systems. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts, and brake repair. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and auto estimating software is highly desirable. Ability to work independently in various environments using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and safety. Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, suspension systems—including automotive suspension system repair—and heavy equipment mechanics is a plus.
