Mechanic Job Overview - Wayne's Auto & Collision (Wayne's Tire Shop) Onalaska Tx At Wayne's Tire Shop, we are looking for a dependable, hardworking mechanic who takes pride in doing quality work and treating customers with respect. We are a hometown shop that values honesty, teamwork, and reliability. The mechanic position includes diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer vehicles while helping keep the shop running efficiently day to day. Responsibilities Perform general automotive repairs and maintenance Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and efficiently Complete brake work, suspension repairs, oil changes, batteries, and other light-to-medium mechanical repairs Mount, balance, and repair tires when needed Inspect vehicles and recommend needed repairs honestly Maintain a clean and organized work area Work with service advisors and other team members to keep workflow moving Test drive vehicles when necessary to confirm repairs Follow shop safety procedures and company standards What We're Looking For Mechanical experience preferred Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles independently Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Positive attitude and willingness to help customers and coworkers Valid driver's license Ability to lift tires, tools, and automotive equipment Experience with tire service, alignments, brakes, suspension, or diagnostics is a plus Work Environment Fast-paced hometown shop environment Team-oriented atmosphere Opportunity for growth and steady work Weekly pay available depending on experience Why Work at Wayne's Tire Shop Family-oriented atmosphere Consistent customer flow Honest shop culture Opportunity to grow with a respected local business We treat customers and employees like family
