Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their service requests. Prepare detailed auto estimates using auto estimating software, ensuring transparency and clarity for customers. Communicate effectively with technicians regarding diagnostics, repairs, and parts needed for various automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and diesel engines. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, shocks & struts, or auto body repairs to enhance customer satisfaction and shop productivity. Manage cash handling procedures accurately while processing payments and issuing receipts. Maintain thorough records of all service transactions, repair orders, and customer interactions to ensure compliance and traceability. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and answering any questions about vehicle maintenance or automotive diagnostics. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive auto service management background. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience preferred. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and techniques across various systems including transmissions, air brakes, suspension, and tire services. Experience in auto estimating software and automotive repair procedures is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for automotive service writing and customer satisfaction. Prior experience with vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes or wheel alignments is advantageous.
