Job Summary This position will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing our fleet of Ford light and medium duty pickup trucks (late model F-150, and F-250's, and similar models ) including diesel engines and components. Duties and Responsibilities Inspect all light- and medium-duty trucks pickup trucks and identify mechanical, electrical, and safety issues. Perform routine preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing. Change engine oil, filters, fluids, belts, hoses, and other maintenance items. Inspect and service brakes, including pads, rotors, calipers, and brake systems. Inspect and repair steering and suspension components. Diagnose and repair engine and drivetrain problems. Perform transmission and differential inspections and repairs as needed. Diagnose electrical problems, including batteries, alternators, starters, lighting, and wiring. Use diagnostic scan tools to identify and troubleshoot vehicle problems. Inspect tires, wheels, wheel bearings, and related components. Perform cooling-system inspections and repairs, including radiators, thermostats, and water pumps. Diagnose and repair heating and air-conditioning systems. Perform safety inspections and identify repairs needed before vehicles return to service. Ability to keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts, and maintenance performed. Communicate repair needs and vehicle status with the shop supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Help keep the company truck fleet operating safely and efficiently with minimal downtime. Qualifications Minumum 5 years experience as an automotive or truck mechanic. Experience working on late model Ford trucks, particularly F-150 and F-250 preferred. Experience with diesel engines and systems preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair and maintenance tasks. Self Motivated. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, plus bend, kneel, and work safely around vehicles and equipment. Possess essential mechanic tools required to perform job functions. Maintain a clean work area.
