Our Service Technicians are responsible for accurately inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing guest vehicles. This position is primarily shop-based but requires regular communication and coordination with Service Advisors to ensure repairs move efficiently from the initial inspection through final completion. We are looking for experienced technicians who take pride in their work, communicate effectively, support their teammates, and remain committed to providing safe, reliable, and high-quality repairs. Duties and Responsibilities Perform thorough, accurate, and professional Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) that clearly document the condition of each vehicle. Inspect and diagnose maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using approved diagnostic procedures and equipment. Record all inspection findings and recommended repairs accurately in the shop management system. Provide Service Advisors with clear information regarding identified concerns, recommended repairs, repair priorities, required parts, and estimated labor time. Help Service Advisors educate guests by clearly documenting what is operating properly, what requires immediate attention, and what should be monitored or planned for later. Begin repairs only after receiving proper authorization and confirmation that the necessary parts and labor have been approved. Complete maintenance and repair work according to manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and established company procedures. Verify that delivered parts are correct before installation and promptly notify the Service Advisor of incorrect, damaged, or missing parts. Protect and return cores as required after repairs are completed. Fully document every repair order using the Concern, Cause, and Correction format. Provide timely repair-order updates so Service Advisors can keep guests informed throughout the repair process. Perform quality-control checks to confirm repairs have been completed correctly and that the vehicle is safe and ready for return to the guest. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting the overall cleanliness and professional appearance of the shop. Properly maintain company tools, equipment, software, and other shop resources. Support team morale by communicating professionally, assisting coworkers when appropriate, and contributing to a positive shop environment. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain the highest ethical standards when recommending or completing repairs. Qualifications Five to ten years of automotive technician experience, formal automotive training, or a combination of relevant education and hands-on experience. Strong inspection, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair skills. Ability to accurately complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and repair-order documentation. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. ASE certifications are encouraged but not required. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment.
