ACP produces and delivers concrete and operates Aggregate Quarries that supply concrete, aggregate (rock) and sand to the batch plants. We are hiring a Mechanic for our San Antonio Division. The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including trucks, mixers, and other heavy machinery. Duties include, but are not limited, to the following: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, electrical systems, and hydraulic problems. Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work. Stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques. Follow all PPE protocols, including proper use, care, and timely replacement. Abide by all federal, state and local traffic laws. Promptly report any incidents, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Required Skills and Experience:
More than one year of hands-on experience in diesel engine and heavy transport maintenance. Prior experience in servicing and repairing mixer trucks is preferred. Valid Texas drivers license and be able to pass an MVR verification. Ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle. Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and physical examination. Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and early mornings. Responsible for providing and maintaining personal tools appropriate for the role. Proficient in the use of hand tools and shop equipment.
