In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will help keep our customers' vehicles running smoothly while providing exceptional customer service and technical support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse automotive systems and advance your skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, steering systems, and electrical systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and tire service to ensure vehicle longevity. Service air brake systems, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, and perform wheel balancing to optimize vehicle handling. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs; weld or perform auto body repairs as needed. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems on GM vehicles or similar models. Deliver excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and providing professional advice on vehicle maintenance needs. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including diesel engines, powertrain components, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and schematics reading to pinpoint issues swiftly. Experience with automotive electrical systems and auto estimating is highly desirable. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of auto body repair techniques along with basic auto estimating skills is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude; ability to communicate technical information clearly.
