Job Overview SmartCommunicationSystems LLC, it's an underground Utility Construction that owns a lot of vehicles,Trailers and equipment. We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic specializing in equipment, trailers, and vehicle maintenance to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trailers, trucks, and industrial machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with dealership experience and a passion for heavy equipment to showcase their technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on trailers, trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and other heavy-duty vehicles using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension work, and alignment to maximize equipment lifespan. Repair and service complex mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, shocks & struts, and electrical systems. Utilize power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and hand tools to execute repairs with precision and safety. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers for testing or repair purposes. Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively across diverse vehicle systems. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed for compliance and quality assurance. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, transmissions, suspension systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and diesel engine repair. Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair including air brake systems and wheel alignment procedures. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software. Ability to read schematics accurately and apply technical manuals during troubleshooting. Skilled in the repair of farm machinery, industrial equipment, trailers, and vehicle electrical systems. Valid certification or licensing related to heavy equipment operation or automotive repair is preferred.
