PAY RATE WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE DUTIES
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of company fleet vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and machinery
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program according to the manufacturer recommendations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all vehicles
  • Evaluate and select vendors for vehicle repairs and maintenance services
  • Communicate with all crew drivers to ensure all vehicles are in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding vehicle safety and maintenance.
  • Perform daily pre-trip inspections each morning on all company vehicles prior to crews leaving the yard
  • Ensure all crew drivers are performing post-trip inspections as the end of each day and submitting the correct forms even when there are no repairs needed
  • Perform entry-level motor vehicle maintenance and repair work on all gasoline and diesel engines
  • Repair/replace worn or broken parts when needed
  • Ensure all recalls are taken care of in a timely manner
  • Perform basic welds when needed
  • Keep work area/grounds tidy and organized at all times
  • Monitor fuel tank consumption and advise when they need to be refilled
REQUIREMENTS
  • All applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • MUST obtain a valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
  • MUST be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and exert 10
  • 100 pounds of force continually
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and crawl to perform maintenance and inspections of vehicles and equipment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Self motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with crew drivers, vendors, and upper management
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
  • Previous experience as a service technician and/or managing fleet vehicle maintenance is preferred
  • Diesel engine knowledge is preferred
  • Welding experience is preferred
