Job Description

Reefer Trailer Mechanic Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, occasional
Saturdays Pay:
$28/hr+ depending on experience Performs maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on refrigerated trailers Duties include conducting inspections, routine servicing, and mid-range diagnostics on reefer units Responsibilities also include repairing refrigerant leaks per EPA standards, troubleshooting electrical components, and fixing issues involving fuel delivery, oil leaks, and lubrication systems The mechanic will rebuild and repair trailer parts, work on all trailer types, and use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments Familiarity with Thermo King and Carrier units is required Additional duties include operating forklifts, following safety procedures, maintaining clean work areas, reporting accidents, and supporting shop operations
Requirements:
Must provide and maintain tools Able to use diagnostic equipment, gauges, leak detectors, and electrical testing tools. OEM certifications, EPA 608, and AC repair certification required. Must lift up to 50 lbs, perform frequent bending, twisting, and climbing, work in various weather conditions, and wear required PPE. Own necessary basic tools, Must obtain and hold OEM-s Certification in: Basic Refrigeration and Electrical and Welding/Soldering Air condition certified in 608 refrigerant, Certified in AC repair, Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
