Tomball Ford is looking for an experienced Automotive Drivability Technician to join our growing Service Department. Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair complex drivability, performance, and engine-related concerns Perform assigned repairs efficiently while following manufacturer and dealership standards Perform advanced diagnostic testing using manufacturer-approved equipment and procedures Complete assigned repair orders efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship Verify repairs to ensure vehicle performance and customer satisfaction Communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations with service advisors and management Maintain accurate repair documentation Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment Stay current with Ford training, diagnostic procedures, and emerging vehicle technologies Assist with additional duties as assigned to support the Service Department Test, inspect, and verify repairs to ensure quality and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
Previous experience diagnosing and repairing drivability concerns is required Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with gasoline, diesel, and hybrid vehicles preferred Ford experience and certifications are preferred but not required Experience using factory diagnostic equipment and service information Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality repairs ASE certifications are a plus
