Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Writer Counter Sales to join our fast-paced automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and sales will drive customer satisfaction and help grow our service department. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Prepare detailed auto estimates for repairs, including oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, suspension, tire service, and more Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure accurate diagnosis and repair timelines Upsell additional services such as alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and other maintenance options Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper records of sales and parts orders Assist customers in selecting appropriate parts and accessories, promoting additional sales opportunities Maintain thorough knowledge of dealership inventory, automotive repair procedures, and current promotions to maximize sales potential Requirements Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and various repair procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspensions, and tire services Experience working with service technicians on auto estimating and repair processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to upsell services confidently while ensuring customer satisfaction Competency in cash handling and basic administrative tasks related to sales transactions Knowledge of automotive systems including auto body repair, air brake systems, alignment services, shocks & struts, diesel engines, and other specialty repairs is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; relevant certifications or mechanic experience are advantageous Join us to become an integral part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional automotive care!
