Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components, including powertrain systems, transmissions, engines, and diesel engines. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently. Interpret technical schematics and service manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Repair or replace vehicle parts such as transmissions, electrical systems, engines, and other mechanical components while adhering to safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing vehicle maintenance. Assist with auto estimating processes by accurately assessing repair needs and parts requirements. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed, including diagnostics, parts used, and time spent on each job. Onsite repairs as needed Experience Proven dealership experience or equivalent automotive service technician background with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Knowledge of systems calibration, schematics reading, and electronic troubleshooting is preferred. Mechanical knowledge encompassing powertrain systems, transmissions, diesel engines, and general vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems. Service technician experience involving auto estimating software is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
