Job Summary Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Technician, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle maintenance and repair. In this energetic role, you'll diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety for our valued customers. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Execute brake services, steering repairs, and suspension work to ensure vehicle safety and performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to complete repairs efficiently. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical or mechanical problems effectively. Service vehicles according to manufacturer specifications, including GM vehicles and other makes/models. Maintain detailed service records, prepare auto estimating reports, and communicate repair findings clearly with customers to ensure transparency. Requirements Proven service technician background with a focus on automotive repair. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and troubleshooting procedures. Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in powertrain components, transmissions, and vehicle maintenance routines. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Prior experience with auto estimating processes and familiarity with service workflows in a dealership or repair shop setting is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
