Overview At Big Kid Custom Rides, we build high end custom hot rods. We have an awesome team and are looking to expand. This is NOT an entry level position. 2 years minimum related experience required to apply. We are looking for someone that wants to make a career here at Big Kid Custom Rides. Our schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 8:00 am - 6:00 pm •Potential flexibility•Pay starts at $25 - $35 depending on experience.
Job Summary:
As an Automotive Assembly Technician, you'll be responsible for assembling and fitting custom components, wiring, and mechanical systems into custom builds and restorations. From frame to finish, your hands-on skills and attention to detail will play a vital role in building high-end, show-quality hot rods.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble vehicles from chassis to completion, including drivetrain, suspension, interior, and body components Fit and install aftermarket and custom parts with precision Perform wiring for lights, gauges, and other electrical systems Collaborate with fabricators, painters, and other technicians to ensure seamless builds Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and fitment issues during assembly Assist with final inspections and quality control before delivery
Qualifications:
3+ years experience in automotive assembly or custom car builds Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of classic and performance vehicles Proficient with hand and power tools Familiarity with wiring, plumbing (brakes/fuel lines), and aftermarket parts Ability to read build sheets, and wiring diagrams Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and pride in craftsmanship Welding or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required
