Orem Toyota is looking for a dependable and motivated Used Car Reconditioning Technician to join our team! This position is responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing used vehicles to ensure they are safe, reliable, and ready for sale. We are looking for someone who works efficiently, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in getting vehicles properly reconditioned and back on the lot. Responsibilities Perform inspections on used and trade-in vehicles Diagnose mechanical and maintenance needs Perform routine maintenance and general automotive repairs Complete oil and filter changes Inspect and service brakes Inspect, rotate, repair, and replace tires as needed Check and replace fluids, filters, bulbs, wiper blades, batteries, and other maintenance items Perform suspension and steering repairs as needed Complete minor mechanical repairs and replacement of worn components Identify safety concerns and needed repairs during the reconditioning process Perform test drives before and after repairs when necessary Ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently Communicate additional repair needs or concerns to management Help move vehicles through the reconditioning process quickly so they are ready for sale Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow dealership and manufacturer safety procedures Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Valid driver's license required Clean driving record required Previous automotive repair or technician experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to diagnose and perform general automotive repairs Comfortable using automotive hand tools, power tools, lifts, and shop equipment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Dependable and able to work independently Ability to prioritize repairs and manage multiple vehicles Must be able to safely lift and handle automotive parts, wheels, and tires What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who understands that used-car reconditioning is all about quality and efficiency .
