In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of automotive systems, ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently. Work with diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics when servicing diesel-powered vehicles or machinery. Follow manufacturer specifications and safety procedures while repairing automotive electrical systems and auto body components. Communicate effectively with customers about repair needs, estimated timelines, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in automotive service and mechanical systems repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with brand-specific protocols such as GM vehicles or similar makes. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and understanding of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology. Knowledge of air brake systems, transmissions (including automatic and manual), auto estimating, and oil change procedures. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working on suspension systems, wheel alignments, auto body repairs, and tire services. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues accurately.
