Job Description
R&D & Vehicle Build Technician American Adventure Lab designs and manufactures premium products for the off-road and overland industry. We're looking for an R&D & Vehicle Build Technician to join our team in St. George, UT. This isn't a typical automotive technician position. You'll work directly with our product development team, build and outfit vehicles, install AAL and partner products, and help test and refine brand-new products. What You'll Do Install AAL and 3rd party aftermarket products on customer, shop, and development vehicles Perform clean, professional 12V wiring, including auxiliary lithium battery systems Tear down and reassemble vehicles for product development Install and test-fit prototypes, identify problems, and provide useful feedback to our designers Perform minor prototype modifications using common hand and power tools Assist with production work when R&D and vehicle-build workload is light What We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship Ability to take a project and run with it without constant supervision Quick learner who is comfortable figuring out unfamiliar products and vehicles Dependable, accountable, and on time Comfortable working carefully on new and high-value vehicles Experience with automotive 12V wiring is a strong plus Automotive, aftermarket, off-road/overland, fabrication, or welding experience is helpful, but not required for the right person. We're more interested in capability, workmanship, attitude, and the ability to learn. Full-Time | $20-$25/hour, depending on experience and capability
