Lube Shop Assistant Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lube Shop Assistant Manager to oversee our quick lube repair facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive service and management, ensuring that our team provides exceptional service to our customers while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to manage daily operations, staff, and customer interactions effectively. Duties Manage daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery in a timely manner. Supervise and train staff, including mechanics and service technicians, to enhance their skills in automotive repair and diagnostics. Oversee vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, brakes, and general maintenance. Utilize mechanical knowledge to assist with automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Maintain an organized shop environment, ensuring that all tools (hand tools and power tools) are properly maintained and accessible. Foster excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly. Implement sales strategies to promote shop services and increase customer retention. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment. Perform heavy lifting as necessary during vehicle maintenance tasks. Experience Previous Lube Shop/Quick Lube experience is preferred. Strong background in automotive repair with hands-on mechanic experience. Proficient in automotive diagnostics with a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance practices. Familiarity with various mechanical systems and components of vehicles. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience in sales or promoting services within an automotive context is a plus.
