Lawrence Trailer & Truck Equipment is seeking a skilled technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial truck bodies and equipment. This is a mechanical truck-equipment position involving hydraulics, 12-volt electrical systems, welding, and equipment installation. Please Note - This is not a structural steel, ironwork, or production welding position. Responsibilities Install and repair service bodies, dump bodies, flatbeds, liftgates, cranes, snow equipment, and related accessoriesDiagnose hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical problemsRepair or replace pumps, cylinders, hoses, wiring, lighting, and equipment componentsPerform MIG welding and light-to-moderate fabrication for installations and repairsRead wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, service manuals, and installation instructionsInspect completed work for proper operation, quality, and safetyMaintain a clean and safe work area Qualifications Relevant experience with truck equipment, trailers, hydraulics, heavy equipment, fleet maintenance, automotive electrical systems, or a related mechanical fieldMechanical troubleshooting abilityWorking knowledge of hydraulic and 12-volt electrical systemsMIG welding experienceAbility to safely operate applicable hand, power, and shop toolsValid drivers license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to perform the positions essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working in, around, and underneath vehiclesHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred Benefits Employee Stock Ownership PlanMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability insurance401(k) retirement planPaid vacation and holidays after 60 daysTraining and advancement opportunities Lawrence Companies is a 100% employee-owned company and an Equal Opportunity Employer.
