Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service to our customers by performing precise mechanical repairs and inspections on various makes and models, including light-duty cars and heavy-duty trucks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automotive systems in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real difference. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical components. Service vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and brake replacements to ensure vehicle longevity. Repair and replace automotive electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and auto body components as needed. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to execute repairs efficiently and safely. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems on both gasoline and diesel engines. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle's condition and recommended services. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, and electrical systems. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment mechanics or diesel mechanics is a plus. Ability to work with various hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery safely and efficiently. Knowledge of ADAS technology, auto estimating procedures, GM vehicles (or similar brands), and auto body repair is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Valid certifications related to automotive repair are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements. $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
