We're looking for a detail-oriented, dependable professional to join our team as a Truck Scale Services Clerk supporting the safe and efficient movement of scrap materials through our facility. What You'll Do Serve as weighmaster for all inbound and outbound trucks, trailers, and railcars.

Process scale transactions and maintain accurate records, including truck weights, bills of lading, contracts, and shipping documents.

Monitor and respond to radiation detection equipment in accordance with company procedures.

Document and report radiation alarms and communicate with appropriate personnel when required.

Review railcar demurrage through NS and CSX systems and approve or dispute charges as needed.

Enter scale tickets and maintain accurate inventory and shipment records.

Assist with railcar ordering, scrap sales order communication, and loading coordination.

Visually inspect incoming scrap for grade and quality.

Provide support to drivers, answer phones, and communicate operational updates via email, radio, and phone.

Complete month-end tasks and support the Raw Materials Supervisor as needed.

Help ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required.1-3 years of manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or shipping/receiving experience preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic computer systems.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and follow established procedures.

Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and multi-tasking is a must.
Schedule Monday-Friday rotation:
One week is 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM and the next week is 3pm -11pm. Schedule repeats.

Must be able to work weekends when needed which is rotated amongst the team. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the workday.

Ability to work in an industrial environment.
