About the Role At Span Alaska Transportation, we keep Alaska moving and our Mechanics are critical to making that happen. In this hands-on Mechanic role, you'll ensure our fleet operates safely, reliably, and efficiently by performing diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment. What you'll do: Fleet Maintenance & Repair Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems Complete DOT inspections Diagnostics & Troubleshooting Identify mechanical issues and test repairs Operational Support Generate and complete work orders Maintain clean and safe workspace Team Collaboration Partner with drivers and operations teams You have these qualifications: High school diploma or GED 2+ years mechanic experience Strong troubleshooting skills Extra credit if you have: CDL (Class A or B)

Ability to lift, bend, and work in various conditions The hourly range is posted for this position in Washington. The hourly rate will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
