This position is focused on trailer body repair, cosmetic reconditioning, and light mechanical repairs. The ideal candidate has experience working with trailers, body repairs, paint preparation, inspections, and minor mechanical troubleshooting in a fast-paced shop environment. If you are hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing both repair and reconditioning work, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Perform trailer body repairs and cosmetic reconditioning Inspect trailers for visible damage and repair needs Support trailer restoration and refurbishment projects Perform sanding, filling, panel preparation, and minor body repairs Execute touch-ups and light paint refinishing work Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments Assist with trailer lighting, brake, and electrical troubleshooting Operate detailing and repair equipment safely Maintain accurate documentation of work performed Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards Keep workspace clean, organized, and OSHA compliant What We're Looking For 2-3 years of experience in trailer repair, body repair, automotive reconditioning, or related shop work Experience with trailer body repair, cosmetic reconditioning, or light mechanical repairs Knowledge of surface preparation and paint application techniques Basic mechanical knowledge preferred Experience working with trailers or commercial vehicles preferred Ability to operate hand and power tools safely Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment Basic computer skills Welding or trailer structural repair experience is a plus
