Job Description We have an immediate position open for a
  • Preventive Maintenance Mechanic
  • to work on our fleet of trucks at Waste Control,
  • in Longview, WA.
  • Mechanics interested in secure, steady employment are encouraged to apply.
  • Pay and Schedule:
  • + Pay will start between $27.12-29.58/hr (DOE) + Shift is
  • Monday - Friday
  • from
  • 2 PM -10:30PM, with occasional overtime.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Perform
  • preventive maintenance services and mechanical repairs
  • on fleet vehicles and equipment + Familiarity with
  • Cummins, Paccar, Freightliner and International systems
  • a plus + Conduct
  • routine safety inspections
  • to ensure compliance with company, DOT, and OSHA standards + Review and complete repairs identified on
  • Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
  • + Complete accurate documentation using
  • fleet maintenance software
  • , including parts usage and labor time + Communicate clearly with senior mechanic and/or Maintenance Manager regarding required repairs and vehicle status + Maintain a
  • clean, organized, and safe work area
  • + Perform additional maintenance related tasks as needed. DOE +
  • Welding
  • experience preferred but not required
  • Qualifications
  • + •1+ year of experience•in truck or diesel equipment maintenance and repair _OR_ + completion of an accredited •vocational or technical diesel program.
  • + •Entry level individuals will also be considered.
  • + Must supply basic
  • personal tools and toolbox
