Competitive per-job compensation + performance incentives Join Your Mobile Mechanic At Your Mobile Mechanic , we believe vehicle repair should be convenient, transparent, and professional. Instead of spending your day inside a repair shop, you'll travel directly to customers, diagnose problems, and complete repairs where the vehicle is located. We're looking for experienced mechanics who enjoy working independently, solving problems, and providing exceptional customer service. If you're tired of shop politics, flat-rate headaches, or waiting around for work, we'll connect you with customers while you focus on what you do best—fixing cars. What You'll Do As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll travel to customer locations throughout your service area to diagnose, repair, and maintain passenger vehicles.
Typical services include:
Vehicle diagnostics Check engine light diagnosis Brake repairs Suspension repairs Starter and alternator replacement Battery replacement Oil changes and scheduled maintenance Cooling system repairs Belts and hoses Spark plugs and ignition repairs Fuel system repairs Steering and suspension repairs No-start diagnostics Preventative maintenance Minor electrical repairs Pre-purchase inspections Other mechanical repairs within your skill set Responsibilities Diagnose vehicle concerns accurately. Explain repair recommendations clearly to customers. Complete repairs efficiently and safely. Use professional diagnostic equipment. Maintain accurate service notes and documentation. Arrive on time for scheduled appointments. Maintain a clean, organized mobile workspace. Follow all safety procedures. Deliver a professional customer experience from start to finish. Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred. Strong diagnostic skills. Experience working on domestic and import vehicles. Ability to perform repairs independently. Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong communication and customer service skills. Smartphone with reliable internet access. Preferred Qualifications ASE Certification (preferred but not required) Dealership experience Independent shop experience Mobile mechanic experience Advanced electrical diagnostics Hybrid vehicle experience Diesel experience (a plus) Tools & Equipment Mechanics should have: Professional hand tools Basic power tools Diagnostic scan tool Floor jack and jack stands Torque wrench Battery tester Multimeter Reliable smartphone A company tool stipend and other equipment assistance may be available depending on your market and experience.
