Chris's German Auto Master Technician - Porsche & German Diagnostics Specialist Redmond, WA Monday-Friday No Weekends High-End Porsche Specialty Shop Guaranteed hourly pay plus flat-rate commission structure Starting at $55/hour+ If you're the technician everyone hands the "problem car" to, this is the kind of shop you've probably been looking for. Chris's German Auto is a fast-growing Porsche and German specialty facility in Redmond, WA, known throughout the Pacific Northwest for precision, craftsmanship, and deep diagnostic expertise. With continued growth and an expansion from 7 to 10 bays, we're looking to add another high-level technician to our team. This is not an entry-level position and it's not a production-only environment. This role is built for a true diagnostic specialist who enjoys solving complex problems, working on high-end vehicles, and being surrounded by people who genuinely care about doing things the right way. About the Shop Founded by legendary Porsche expert Chris Powell, Chris's German Auto has built a reputation for dealership-level expertise in an independent environment. Now led by Daria Bakai, the shop continues that legacy with a modern, performance-driven mindset and a strong Porsche enthusiast culture. What You'll Work On Advanced drivability and electrical diagnostics Porsche, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes repair and testing Intermittent concerns and network communication diagnostics CAN, LIN, module, sensor, and actuator testing Engine diagnostics and root-cause failure analysis Mechanical repair, testing, maintenance, and complex troubleshooting Older Porsche and vintage European vehicle work Performance and specialty vehicle projects Mentoring and supporting other technicians when needed What We're Looking For 10+ years of automotive experience Strong German vehicle experience required Porsche experience strongly preferred Advanced diagnostic ability across all vehicle systems Comfortable using oscilloscopes, pressure transducers, and advanced scan tools Able to interpret live data and build diagnostic strategy independently Strong electrical troubleshooting skills Someone who knows what they know — and what they don't Professional, self-disciplined, detail-oriented, and team-focused Able to work independently without constant oversight Pride in quality workmanship and fixing vehicles correctly the first time The Environment 10,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility Expanding to 10 bays with additional lifts Showroom-quality shop environment Tekmetric shop management system with integrated DVIs, photos, and videos Team of Porsche-specialized technicians Professional, respectful, high-accountability culture Booked out roughly 3 weeks in advance with strong customer demand Porsche Club of America involvement, Cars & Coffee events, and track day participation Pay & Benefits Guaranteed hourly pay plus flat-rate commission structure Starting at $55/hour+ depending on experience and diagnostic ability High earning potential for the right technician Health, dental, and vision insurance (90% employer covered) Paid holidays
