Heavy Equipment Lube and Service Technician Job Description As a Heavy Equipment Lube and Service Technician you will be responsible for performing required preventative maintenance services to our fleet of pick-up trucks, semi-trucks and trailers.
Preventative maintenance services include:
Lubrication of wheel bearings and other moving parts to prevent premature wear; Changing of windshield wipers, fuel, air and oil filters; Filling and/or replacing various vehicle fluids; Duties as assigned to support efficiency in shop operations.
Salary:
$20-23 per hr.

Full-time Heavy Equipment Lube and Service Technician Responsibilities:
Application of lubricants to moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance. Lubricating wheel bearings to prevent excessive tire wear. Replacing cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required. Changing windshield wipers as required. Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear. Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed. Thoroughly inspecting vehicles for oil leaks. Cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles Making recommendations for additional servicing to mechanics based on initial vehicle inspections. Supporting mechanics as needed to complete their work. Documenting and submitting all repair order paperwork to Shop Administrator. Communicating with NAPA employee to ensure accuracy in parts allocation. Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management. Job Qualifications /
Requirements:
2+ years proven work experience as a Lube Technician; Semi-Truck / Heavy equipment experience preferred. High School Diploma / GED Completion of postsecondary education lube technician program highly desirable. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification a plus. Ability to lift heavy mechanical parts. Clean driving record and current Washington State driver's license required. CDL a plus but not required. Ability to work OT, after-hours or weekends if required. Strong communication skills Reliable attendance. Must pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening
