Tacoma, WA Job Details $50,000 - $175,000 a year 16 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Driver's License Experience working in the automotive repair industry Electrical maintenance Mechanical systems repair Full Job Description As an Automotive Technician at Scharmach Automotive Group, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. You will work closely with the service team to provide excellent customer service by delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance in a timely manner.
Pay:
$50,000.00-$175,000.00 per year
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and software. Adhere to department processes for video electronic Multipoint Inspections. Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and fluid flushes. Repair or replace parts, such as engines, transmissions, and suspension components, according to manufacturer specifications. Document all services performed, including diagnostic findings, repairs completed, and parts used. Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental standards in the workplace. Stay updated on technical training and certifications for various vehicle makes and models. Communicate clearly and effectively with service advisors and customers about vehicle issues, repair timelines, and costs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training or ASE certification preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance. Proficient with automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Valid Washington State driver's license and a clean driving record. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
