Full-time Full-time Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in the shop. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and heavy equipment operation. Duties Include but are notLimited Too:
- Performing routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
- Inspecting, testing, and listening to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.
- Rewiring ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels.
- Disassembling and overhauling internal combustion engines, pumps, generators, transmissions, clutches, and differential units.
- Performing front ends and suspension systems alignments.
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicle heating and cooling systems.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment
- Experience with tractor-trailer maintenance and repair
- Ability to suspend heavy equipment for repairs
- Familiarity with automotive repair techniques
- Competence in using hand tools for mechanical work
- Prior experience in vehicle maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of industrial equipment operations
