Overview We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicles, utilizing your mechanical expertise to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Repair and service diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Execute wheel alignments, tire services, oil changes, and auto body repairs to maintain vehicle integrity and customer satisfaction. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic software efficiently to complete repairs promptly. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring vehicle maintenance meets manufacturer specifications. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, suspension systems repair, wheel alignment, brake repair, and oil changes. Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery safely. Knowledge of GM vehicles is a plus but not required; familiarity with auto estimating software is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong customer service abilities. Valid ASE certification or equivalent technical training is preferred; ongoing training encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
