In person Join Our Team VL Auto Repair is looking for an experienced, sales-driven Automotive Service Advisor to join our growing team. We are a fast-growing European repair shop and dealer alternative with strong technicians, excellent working conditions, and a serious focus on customer experience, sales performance, and team growth. This is not an entry-level position . We are looking for a proven Service Advisor who can step in, communicate professionally, sell recommended work, follow up consistently, and help drive shop performance from day one. The right person understands how to build trust with customers, present needed maintenance and repairs, improve close rate, increase ARO, and help keep the schedule full through strong communication and follow-up. This Is Not an Entry-Level Position This role is for a proven Automotive Service Advisor who is comfortable being held accountable to: Sales performance Average repair order value Estimate close rate Customer communication Declined work follow-up Schedule performance Customer retention Overall shop growth Minimum 3 years of Automotive Service Advisor experience is required. 5+ years is preferred. We are not looking for someone who needs to be trained from scratch. We are looking for someone who knows how to sell, close, communicate, follow up, and help a strong shop perform at a higher level. We are looking for someone who is: Proven in automotive service sales Strong at closing recommended repairs and maintenance Excellent with follow-up and customer communication Confident presenting estimates and asking for the sale Organized in a fast-paced shop environment Goal-oriented and motivated by results Friendly, enthusiastic, reliable, and professional A positive team player with a strong work ethic Comfortable working with technicians, customers, and management Able to multitask without losing attention to detail Able to manage a busy front counter without constant supervision Seeking a long-term career, not just a job European automotive knowledge is a plus, but strong Service Advisor experience, sales ability, and customer communication skills are the priority. All applicants must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license and a good driving record. Responsibilities As a VL Auto Repair Service Advisor, you will be the main liaison between the customer and the service department.

Your responsibilities will include:

Fielding inbound calls, texts, emails, and customer communications in a timely manner Obtaining customer and vehicle information and entering it accurately into the CRM Reviewing customer service history and identifying needed maintenance Clearly documenting customer concerns and vehicle symptoms Updating internal shop management systems Recommending needed maintenance based on age, mileage, condition, and vehicle history Preparing complete and accurate estimates for parts and labor Presenting inspection results and recommended repairs to customers Selling approved work and following up on declined work Managing the shop schedule and keeping workflow organized Coordinating communication between customers, technicians, parts, and management Monitoring repair progress throughout the day Updating customers frequently and professionally Verifying that final invoices match completed work Explaining completed repairs and charges to customers Collecting payment and completing receipts accurately Helping improve close rate, ARO, customer retention, and overall shop performance Minimum Requirements Minimum 3 years Automotive Service Advisor experience required 5+ years preferred Proven experience selling maintenance and repair work Strong ability to present inspections and close recommended repairs Comfortable being measured by sales, ARO, close rate, customer follow-up, and schedule performance Experience building estimates and writing repair orders Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment Strong follow-through and attention to detail Professional appearance and attitude Valid Wisconsin driver's license Good driving record Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Holiday pay Employee discount Referral program Professional development assistance Equal Opportunity Employer VL Auto Repair is an equal opportunity employer.
