Job Description

Position Summary:
The technician is responsible for the diagnoses, maintenance and repair of fire trucks and other emergency vehicles. This role would include fire apparatus testing and the ability to work in the shop and on the road as needed.
Role and Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair and test pump, aerial, electrical, hydraulic and other systems found on fire trucks and other emergency vehicles. Preform preventive maintenance and annual testing on fire trucks and equipment. Both in the shop and on the road as needed. Complete required documentation efficiently and accurately for both Red Power Diesel and customers. Some fabrication and equipment installation on fire trucks Maintenance and repair of company equipment and vehicles. Examine the equipment to determine if additional service is required, and convey service recommendations to the appropriate parties. Clean work space after job is complete, both in the shop and at customer locations. Maintain accurate and complete notes on service orders
Minimum Requirements:
Occasional overtime and overnight trips will be required for technicians Strong interpersonal skills and technical communication skills Valid driver's license Must possess awareness of safety standards, organization skills and the ability to keep work station clean and free of debris. Must be able to multitask as needed, with the ability to transition from testing to repairs as required. Must be able to pass drug screen and physical assessment. Clean driving record required.

$20 - $40 per hour (based on experience)
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm & Friday 7:30am-11:30am Occasional overtime and overnight trips will be required for technicians.
