Job Description:
M&J Auto Sales and Service is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong passion for automotive repair and maintenance, and brings a sharp attention to detail to everything they do. As an Automotive Technician at M&J Auto, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of vehicles to ensure they are safe, reliable, and ready for the road. Your day-to-day work will include performing routine maintenance, completing thorough vehicle inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and carrying out repairs efficiently and accurately. At M&J Auto, we value honesty, quality workmanship, and treating customers the right way—so the ideal candidate will share that same commitment to delivering top-notch service every time.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment. Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid flushes. Complete complex repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and other vehicle components. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate repairs. Communicate clearly with customers to explain findings, repair recommendations, and timelines while delivering excellent customer service. Maintain accurate service records and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and advancements in automotive technology.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an automotive technology program or equivalent hands-on work experience ASE certification preferred Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced troubleshooting skills Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and automotive repair equipment Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
