Job Description

About the Role As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our transportation fleet. You will perform essential diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs on specialized vehicles, directly contributing to the dependable service our community relies on every day. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules, including fluid management, filter replacements, and chassis lubrication. Diagnose and resolve issues within electrical, brake, and suspension systems to maintain peak vehicle performance. Perform detailed mechanical inspections to identify potential failures before they impact daily operations. Collaborate with senior technicians to complete complex repairs and gain hands-on experience with heavy equipment. Maintain accurate documentation of all service activities to ensure fleet compliance and safety standards. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair diesel and gasoline engine systems. Required Skills Minimum of 2 years of professional mechanical experience or completion of a recognized technical trade program. Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Ownership of a personal toolbox and essential hand tools. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety protocols and consistent attendance. Ability to pass necessary background checks and motor vehicle record screenings. Preferred Skills Current ASE certifications in automotive or light truck repair. Prior experience maintaining fleet vehicles or heavy-duty equipment. Strong aptitude for learning new diagnostic software and emerging vehicle technologies. High school diploma or equivalent technical certification.
