Job Description

Rand's Trucking is looking for a qualified candidate for the Trailer Technician position at our Medford Location! Position Summary The Trailer Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on company trailers in a safe, timely, and professional manner. This position plays a critical role in minimizing trailer downtime and ensuring that equipment remains DOT-compliant and road-ready. Essential Job Duties The Trailer Technician is expected to perform and assist with the following trailer repairs and maintenance: Brake inspections, maintenance, and repairs Wheel seal replacement and repairs Wheel end inspections and repairs Air system diagnostics and repairs Tire inspections, repairs, and replacements Trailer light diagnostics and repairs Greasing and lubrication of trailer components Preventative maintenance services on trailers Suspension inspections and repairs Landing gear inspections and repairs DOT trailer inspections General trailer repairs and maintenance Maintain accurate repair and inspection documentation Keep shop and work areas clean, organized, and safe Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations Qualifications and Job Requirements Strong communication skills to work with drivers and other staff. Ability to handle driver complaints, delays, and additional workload with an effective and positive attitude. Knowledge of maintenance and power tools used in repairs. Basic computer skills Proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving to identify repairs and solutions. Ability to lift 50lbs or more. Must have your own tools. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm Saturdays as needed.
