Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle drop-off to pick-up. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, ensuring customers are fully informed about their vehicle's condition Prepare accurate estimates using estimating software, including details on parts, labor, and additional services Upsell recommended services and repairs to enhance vehicle performance and safety while respecting customer budgets Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle status, additional findings, and cost estimates Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain detailed service records Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues and assist technicians with repair procedures when needed Maintain knowledge of current automotive repair techniques, including transmissions, brakes, suspension, collision repair, diesel engines, air brake systems, tire services, shocks & struts, oil changes, alignments, and more Foster positive client relationships through excellent communication skills and professional service writing Qualifications Proven experience as an auto service advisor or in a similar customer service role within an automotive dealership or repair shop Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics and repairs such as transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, diesel engines, collision repair, etc. Experience with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with auto estimating systems is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicle types comfortably Knowledge of auto service management practices including service writing and sales techniques Join our team today to become part of a vibrant environment where your automotive expertise makes a real difference!
